Broome County Restaurant Embraces New Opportunities
The Fat Cowboys BBQ has some big news to share with its customers.
After four amazing years of hard work and growth, the owners have decided to close the chapter on The Fat Cowboys BBQ to focus on new opportunities.
The Story of Fat Cowboys BBQ
The Fat Cowboys BBQ was founded in 2021 by a team of like-minded foodies, Garrett and Amber Wagner. This married duo had a shared love for cooking that led them to rescue a once run-down icon of a restaurant at 69 State Route 7B in Port Crane. They created a place where people from all over the Southern Tier could meet to enjoy special dishes in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
Quicky, The Fat Cowboys BBQ became a family-friendly bar and smokehouse offering the best in drink selection, smoked meats, and entertainment with award-winning food.
Appreciating the Hardworking Team
The Fat Cowboys BBQ posted on social media their appreciation for finding a buyer who values their restaurant's spirit and plans to keep the dedicated staff on board noting that the team has been the backbone of the business, working with care and integrity from the start.
Thanking the Port Crane Community
The people of the Southern Tier have been at the heart of The Fat Cowboys BBQ's journey and as The Fat Cowboys BBQ rides off into the sunset, the owners and staff hold onto the memories made, the relationships built, and the flavors shared and they thank the community for being part of their journey.

Saying Goodbye and Moving On
On March 29th, The Fat Cowboys BBQ will be the last day of service before the reins are handed over to the new owners. In the meantime, everyone is invited to savor one last meal, reminisce, and celebrate the journey they've shared.
