Mary Tyler Moore, star of The Dick Van Dyke Show and her own television sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show, has died after being in “grave condition” at a Connecticut hospital. The actress was 80.

Hollywood has lost one of its most prolific supporting actors today, as Twin Peaks star and storied actor Miguel Ferrer has lost a battle with cancer. The recognizable star identified with everything from the original RoboCop to NCIS has passed away at age 61.

Walt Disney exerted an almost dictatorial command of the authorship behind the early films of the Mouse House; they were all to be Walt Disney productions, unmistakable for any other. But plenty of phenomenally talented artists went unrecognized for years, even as their handiwork became world famous and molded the childhoods of millions of viewers. Tyrus Wong was one such artist. Deadline confirms that he died at the age of 106 on Friday, leaving behind a legacy woven into the fabric of children’s entertainment.

Terrible news to confirm today, as a beloved icon and Star Wars star’s condition has taken a turn for the worse. Carrie Fisher, actress behind both Princess and General Leia, has passed away at age 60. The revered actress and comedic presence had earlier suffered a heart attack en-route from London to Los Angeles.

As 2016 seems to be an unendingly cruel mistress, another beloved TV parent has left us behind. Alan Thicke, actor behind Growing Pains patriarch Jason Seaver has passed away at age 69. The acclaimed sitcom star had only days earlier made a surprise cameo in the second season of Netflix’s Fuller House.

A sad day for fans of Eight is Enough and the world at large, as representatives of actor Dick Van Patten have confirmed news that the 86-year old passed away of unknown causes. The lifelong star was also known for his work in such Mel Brooks movies as Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

A sad day for fans of Everybody Loves Raymond and the world at large, as the family of series star Sawyer Sweeten has confirmed news that the 19-year old passed away Thursday of a suspected suicide, in Texas. The young star and his twin brother Sullivan had played Raymond sons Geoffrey and Michael Barone from 1996 to 2005.

We have very sad news to report from The New York Times: Leonard Nimoy, Star Trek’s Mr. Spock for almost 50 years, has died. Nimoy’s wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, told the Times the cause of death was “end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.” The beloved actor and director was 83 years old.
