Foster parents are truly unsung heroes in the lives of children who need guiding figures.

If you want to make an astronomical impact on children by providing them with a loving home, here's a fantastic opportunity.

Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth is looking for new foster families to provide a safe and healthy home for children in need.

Berkshire farm Center is one of the leading foster care agencies, serving 2,000 foster children in 53 counties in New York State. 47 of those children found their forever families in 2019, according to the organization's website.

Single people or couples with or without parenting experience are eligible. As long as you have a big heart, space for a child in your life, and a desire to help them, you can be a foster parent.

Foster parents are provided a monthly stipend to provide for the child’s financial needs such as clothing, living expenses and activities. Additionally, child care is provided for parents who work full time. Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth is looking for both short and long-term foster parents.

Each foster parent is provided thorough training necessary to be a foster parent which can be done in-person or over Zoom video conferencing.

Esperanza is from Fulton, New York. She was placed in the foster system at 16 years old. She saw the impact it had on her life, and decided she would be a foster parent to spread that same joy to other children in need. To date, Esperanza has fostered nine children, and has fully adopted five of them.

“I had the best foster parents. They are a big part of my life and the reason why fostering is so important to me,” said Esperanza. “I believe every child should feel loved and be loved.”

The organization wants everyone to know that there are large amounts of children in all communities that are in need of short and long-term foster families.
