[GALLERY] Good Friday Observances In The Southern Tier

Good Friday 2022 is April 15th. Good Friday is the day when Christians observe the commemoration of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The Britannica website describes Good Friday as "...a day of sorrow, penance, and fasting, a characteristic that finds expression in the German word Karfreitag (“Sorrowful Friday.”)

There are many observances this Friday, happening around the Southern Tier of New York. you may be wondering what churches will be open for observances and services in our area. Thanks to our intern, Betsy Warner, we have a list of churches with Good Friday services.
