A partial recount has been ordered of some ballots cast in New York's 22nd Congressional District contest between incumbent Democrat Anthony Brindisi and Republican challenger Claudia Tenney.

According to Syracuse.com, state Supreme Court Justice Scott DelConte issued the order Tuesday.

The race between Brindisi and Tenney now is the only congressional contest in the nation to remain unsettled.

DelConte directed county election boards in the 22nd District to recheck counting errors and to review more than 800 disputed absentee and affidavit ballots.

The judge confirmed that Tenney had a 12-vote lead over Brindisi based on the total submitted to him by the eight county election boards in the congressional district.

DelConte wrote that there was no evidence of any fraud involved in the handling of votes in the races between Brindisi and Tenney.
