Here's the scoop. Usually, Social Security payments go out on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of the month. But this time, there's a little change for everyone that is supposed to be getting Supplementary Security Income (SSI) in New York.

Early Payment in May and No Payment in June

Normally, SSI payments are made on the first of the month. But when the first of the month falls on a weekend or a holiday, they have to switch up the payments a little and that's exactly what's happening in June 2024. June 1st landed on a Saturday, so SSI recipients in the Empire State got their June payment a day early.. May 31st. Because of that, there will be no payment for them in June.
