Most of us don't enjoy going to the doctor. But when it comes to TV shows and cartoons, we can't seem to get enough of fictional doctors. A new study looked at Google search trends to find out which fictional doctor people searched for the most in every state.

Dr. Nick Tops the List in New York

According to the study by Weiss & Paarz, New York residents searched for Dr. Nick from The Simpsons more than any other fictional doctor. Dr. Nick was the most popular fictional doctor in seven states, including New York, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Washington.

A Doctor You Probably Wouldn't Trust

If you've watched The Simpsons, you already know Dr. Nick isn't exactly the kind of doctor you'd want performing surgery on you. The lovable but clueless physician is famous for making mistakes, offering questionable medical advice, and greeting patients with his catchphrase, "Hi, everybody!"

Even though he's far from a medical expert, his personality has made him one of the show's most memorable characters. TV doctors often become fan favorites because they make us laugh or keep us glued to the screen. Some save lives in dramatic fashion, while others, like Dr. Nick, provide comic relief.
