Starting June 5th, Billy will hit the road with Tim McGraw on his Shotgun Rider Tour.  He told Country Countdown USA host Lon Helton, he's looking forward to it: "I always wanted to tour with him.  We went hunting together 5 years ago. We got to know each other then.  I knew I wanted to be around him.  He's wise.  Just look at his success.  He's super smart."

Billy is our in-studio co-host for this Sunday's CMT Country Countdown USA and you can hear him Sunday night 7-10pm on 98.1 The Hawk and you can even take Billy along with the free HAWK App Radio Pup.

Billy Currington is a lucky guy.  He told Lon Helton: "My life's a vacation!  Every day is a vacation for me.  I'm fortunate enough to live on the ocean, so when I get off the road, I get to go surfing, blue crabbing, and fishing, so it's pretty constant all year long.  You know in the winter I get to go to Hawaii, and that's where I really go to heaven."

So it's appropriate that Billy's new album is called Summer Forever.  He says the album title comes from the last song: "The label called and said they needed the title right away.  I just looked through the songs, and my eyes went straight to the last track Summer Forever.  It's not like a beach album theme, but it's still a summery feel.  It's basically all a positive vibe.  I always feel that I want to leave people with a happy feeling.  I think this album's full of positive, happy songs, and hopefully, that's the feeling I'll leave you with."

The real question though is Billy ready for Tim's work-out regimen?  "I've seen it on video, and talked with someone who works along side him, and they enlightened me on how he eats and different things.  I kept saying 'Wow!'  I'm looking forward to that, because I was a trainer, but seeing what he does, I know they work different muscles than I've been working.  So I'm looking forward to learning some of the things he does."

Billy also has great stories this week about Keith Urban, Lee Brice, Dierks Bentley, and newcomer Kelsea Ballerini.
