The Roberson Museum is getting ready to celebrate the season in a big way with their 71st annual Home for the Holidays event. The entire museum will be turned into a bright and festive winter wonderland. The celebration runs from November 20th through January 9th, and it’s one of the most loved holiday traditions in the Southern Tier.

More Than 125 Decorated Trees to Explore

One of the biggest highlights of the event is the huge collection of Christmas trees. More than 125 trees will be decorated by local businesses and organizations, each one with its own special look and theme. You can also enjoy the International Forest, where beautiful displays show how different cultures around the world celebrate the season.

Opening Day and Lighting Ceremony

The fun begins on Thursday, November 20th, with opening day hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The next day, on Friday, November 21 at 5 p.m., the museum will hold its official lighting ceremony at the main entrance. BT-BOCES P-Tech students designed and installed the entryway display, and you can enjoy free hot cocoa while watching the lights come on.

Live Music and Creative Activities

Throughout the season, the museum will have live musical performances in the Mansion Library. On Saturdays, kids can stop by the Holiday Craft Corner to work on fun, hands-on seasonal projects. This is a great way for families to make memories together.
