The Honor Flight Network is a national not-for-profit organization with the sole purpose of fulfilling the dreams of America's veterans by providing them with free travel visit their war memorials in Washington, D.C. While the trip to see their memorial is free for the veterans, it comes with a steep price for those who organize it.

Twin Tiers Honor Flight is the local hub of the Honor Flight Network and putting together just one honor flight for Twin Tiers area veterans can cost upwards of $80,000. What's more, is that these trips (which are taken at least twice a year) are funded completely through tax-deductible donations from our community.

Because there are so many veterans in the Twin Tiers on the waiting list to take an Honor Flight, the Twin Tiers Honor Flight is desperately trying to raise funds so more trips can be taken, ensuring that all of the veterans on the waiting list have the chance to see their war memorials before it's too late.

If you ride or know someone who does, the 5th Annual Ride for the Memories is a perfect way to get out and take a scenic ride will supporting local veterans as a portion of the ride proceeds will benefit the Twin Tiers Honor Flight.

Ride for the Memories will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2020 (date subject to change due to COVID-19) at the Dryden Fire Department on North Street in Dryden.  The escorted ride will end at the Dryden VFW on Dryden Road in Dryden.
