I am loving Binghamton Restaurant Week but I'm not liking rude people that don't have any consideration when they are out to dinner with their cell phones.

I'm sure you've been there.  You're enjoying dinner, having a great conversation and all of a sudden someone's annoying ring tone interrupts your train of thought and all nearby heads shift to the person hitting their answer button and that person continues to talk loudly so everyone in the whole world can hear a conversation nobody wants to hear.  It happens everyday in the Southern Tier and there is no escaping it.

When I was in New Jersey over the Summer, I'll never forget seeing a table of 4 with Mom, Dad and their 2 kids all texting on their cell phone and not talking the entire meal.  I found this to be both hilarious and sad.

Good news is there is a restaurant now offering up to a 10% discount to anyone who turns off their phone at the table for their entire meal.  the bad news it's a ways from the Southern Tier.  The bad news is you'll have to fly to Bedivere Eatery & Tavern in Beirut to experience it.

What do you think?  Would this fly in the States?
