I didn't and still don't want to believe that this story might unfold this way, but through the whole search for missing Utica baby Levon Wameling, something hasn't felt right about his disappearance and today the question has been raised as to whether or not  the remains of a baby found in the Mohawk River are those of Levon.

Back in June, baby Levon went missing under suspicious circumstances. Levon’s father, Jevon Wameling, told Utica police that he left the baby on the porch while he went around the house to unlock the door. He said Levon was gone when he went back to the porch. That was on May 29th, but Jevon didn’t come forward until Tuesday June 11th.

Today, remains of an infant were found in a container in the Mohawk River and while positive identification hasn't yet been made, it's believed that those remains are Levon's. Apparently, Utica police received what they're calling "credible information" from someone telling them where to look in the river for the remains.

Baby Levon's father was arrested yesterday in a completely unrelated incident. New York State Police say they arrested Jevon Wameling, on Thursday on a charge of one count of burglary in the second degree in connection with an incident that happened in August.

My heart breaks for the innocent little one who's remains were found today.  I can't even fathom someone doing something so horrific to another human being. I simply can't.

In the event that the remains don't belong to Levon, I'd ask that you share this so that others can keep an eye out for this precious little man:
