Harpursville’s Pantheon Restaurant & Pizzeria Is Closing Its Doors
If you ever grabbed a pizza after a long day, met friends for breakfast, or picked up takeout on a busy night in Harpursville, there’s a good chance you spent time at Pantheon Restaurant & Pizzeria.
Now, after years of serving the community, the local restaurant has announced it will permanently close this weekend.
Pantheon Says Goodbye
In a social media post, Pantheon Restaurant & Pizzeria thanked customers for their support over the years and announced that Saturday, May 16, will be its final day of service.
The message was short, simple, and heartfelt:
“Thank you for your support over the years. We are deeply grateful for your business over the years.”
For many people in the Harpursville area, that kind of post hits a little differently. Even if you only stopped in occasionally, places like this can become part of memories.
Community Shares Memories and Goodbyes
Not long after the announcement was posted, comments started appearing from customers and community members.
Some shared sadness over losing a favorite local spot, while others thanked the restaurant for years of good food and support within the community.

“Sorry to hear, we always enjoyed coming there! Best wishes,” one customer wrote.
Another commented, “So sorry to see you and this restaurant go, but wishing you the best in whatever the future holds for you. Thanks for all your support of our community!”
A Slice of Harpursville’s Story
Located on State Route 79, the restaurant built a reputation for being a cozy, family-friendly spot with homemade comfort food and welcoming service. Customers often talked about the casual atmosphere and how much they loved walking into a place where people knew their name.
Why Local Restaurants Matter
When a locally owned restaurant closes, it’s about more than just losing a place to grab dinner.
It’s the place where people stopped after ball games, picked up takeout on busy nights, or ran into neighbors they hadn’t seen in a while. Over time, places like Pantheon become part of people’s routines without them even realizing it.
That’s why announcements like this hit hard in small towns across New York. These restaurants are tied to memories, traditions, and everyday life.

A Community’s Last Chance to Visit
If Pantheon Restaurant & Pizzeria has been part of your family’s story over the years, there's still time to stop in before they close for good on Saturday, May 16.
Whether it is one last breakfast, one more pizza night, or simply a chance to thank the staff in person, this is your chance to make one final visit before the doors close for good.
