Binghamton Hosts New York’s Scholastic Clay Target Program Championship

The Binghamton Gun Club on Quilty Hill Road in Kirkwood is a go-to spot for people who love shotgun sports. They're all about shotguns there, no rifles or pistols allowed. The club is all about having fun with shotgun sports and making sure everyone stays safe and has a great time.

One great thing about them is that they have an international bunker trap range, which is rare in these parts. It's a great spot for anyone who want to train in Olympic-style trap shooting. They are one of the few places around here where aspiring Olympians can practice and have some fun.

Adding to the fun, they have a bunch of cool options like American trap, skeet, 5-stand, and a big 17-station sporting clays course. If you're up for it, they're open to visitors on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. They're always happy to welcome anyone who wants to try the exciting world of shotgun sports.

New York State SCTP Championship Coming to Binghamton

With all the excitement and hype, the Binghamton Gun Club scored a bullseye by getting the honor to host the prestigious New York State SCTP Championship this year. The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) is gaining serious popularity, becoming a top school sport known for its safety record with fewer injuries compared to other school sports.

The SCTP provides students from elementary through college with a place where shooting sports is used for teaching life lessons. The skills that they learn through this program also help to build positive character traits.

On June 21st, the club will be buzzing with top athletes from all over the state showing off their skills and good sportsmanship. Leading the charge will be Bob Broderick, who not only advises the SCTP in New York but also coaches the A&B Clay Busters team.
