Is ‘Toys R Us’ Making a Comeback in New York?
For many of us, just the thought of Toys "R" Us brings back such good childhood memories. In the 1980s and '90s', this was one of the places that you just had to visit when it came to toys and more.
Who can forget Geoffrey the Giraffe and the bright-colored buildings? I bet you're smiling right now just remembering it. Unfortunately, As times changed, Toys "R" Us had trouble changing with them. In fact, the last two physical Toys “R” Us locations closed in January of 2021. If there is one thing that America loves, it's a comeback.

Toys "R" Us To Open New Stores in 2024
WHP Global acquired Toys "R" Us and opened up smaller stores inside of Macy's. Now they have announced plans to bring back their brick-and-mortar stores. Beginning in 2024, they will be adding 24 new flagship stores around the country.
They want to bring back that magical feeling of walking through the aisles filled with all of the toys a kid could ever dream of. From the classics to the hottest new toys, they'll have something for everyone.
Toys "R" Us To Open In Unconventional Places
But that's not all, Toys "R" Us is planning to bring some toy fun to a place that you would never expect. They're teaming up with Go! Retail Group and they will be opening shops in airports and on cruise ships.
In late 2022, Toys R Us came back. Maybe not the way we remember it from when we were kids but one opened as an in-store shop located inside Macy's at Herald Square in New York City.
