Well, if you're all about that quality of life and looking for the best places to call home in the good ol' US of A, then we have got some exciting news for New Yorkers. A recent study by visiolending.com has ranked New York as the sixth-best state to live in for 2024. I know, hard to believe but here's the proof.

Congratulations, go to California for grabbing the top spot as the ultimate living hotspot. I also find this hard to believe too but let's move on. Wyoming and Maryland came in a close second and third place, New York definitely held its own among the top contenders.

The experts from Visio Lending took a look into data from sources like the U.S. Census Bureau and the Bureau of Economic Analysis. They wanted to figure out which states shine in terms of household debt, crime rates, and job prospects.

With a solid final score above 58, New York impressed the judges with standout stats like an average ACT score of 1,067 – not too shabby at all! And let's not forget that household debt-to-income ratio of 0.4, earning New York a perfect 10 in that category.
