New Yorkers Lead the Gratitude Game: Who Have You Thanked Today?
Who have you thanked today? It's amazing that when you take the time to say "Thank you" to someone how it changes them and you at the same time. According to a recent study by Preply, it looks like the Empire State is bursting with gratitude.
The Empire State ranks as the #2 state for the most appreciative people in America. Doe's that come as a surprise to you? It did me but I'll take it. We're just a little behind Idaho in expressing our thanks.
On the average, New York residents say “thank you” about 214 times each year to non-family members. And get this – almost half of us, (48%), thanked someone today!
I think that it's great that we are not holding back when it comes to showing our appreciation for others. In fact, an amazing 94% of New Yorkers have thanked someone last month. It seems like we've made showing gratitude a regular part of our lives.
Whether it’s the coffee shop worker, the stranger who held the door open, or the workers that keep our city running, New Yorkers want to share their appreciation.
So, next time you think about letting a "thank you" go by, remember that it’s just as much a part of our New York hustle as grabbing your morning bagel or enjoying our stunning fall foliage.
New Yorkers - let's keep spreading the love and gratitude in our state and who knows, maybe we will get that #1 spot next time!" Say it with me now - Thank you, New York!
