Have you ever wondered how charitable your fellow New Yorkers are? A recent study surveyed Americans from all across the country to find out where the most charitable people live. I'm happy to say that New York has some pretty good numbers!

According to the study, over half (53%) of New Yorkers said they have helped a stranger at least once a month. Whether it's helping someone in need or going the extra mile, New York residents can be kind That's a good thing to hear.

The study also found that 42% of New Yorkers have donated their professional skills, including career guidance. It's good to see how New Yorkers will take the time in helping others find their way in the job market.

Speaking of donations, 40% of New Yorkers say they donate money at least once a month. This includes supporting local charities, contributing to important causes, or opening their wallet to make a difference in the community,

How about volunteering? Over a third (34%) of New Yorkers report say their volunteer their time least once a month. From helping with community events to offering their abilities, New Yorkers are stepping up and making a difference in their own special ways.

Finally, 47% of New Yorkers are either organ donors or have plans to become one soon. This shows how compassionate the people of New York really are, as compared to the way that we are portrayed.
