It's that time of year when New York is going to turn into a canvas of fantastic fall colors. I’m talking about leaf-peeping season, and it's gonna be amazing this year. According to Explore Fall, the leaves are ready to show some low-key color in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains on September 13th.

But the real show should hit its peak in mid-October and wrap up by November 10th, except for a few lucky towns in southern Western New York that'll still be rockin' some color.

Now, if you're one of those peeps planning your fall adventures around the changing leaves, here are the details on where the colors are going to pop!

September 28th to October 1st

Mount Marcy, Giant Mountain Wilderness, and Dix Mountain in the eastern Adirondacks

October 2nd to October 7th

Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Old Forge, Tupper Lake, and much of the High Peaks in the Adirondacks

October 8th to October 13th

Windham, Prattsville, and Livingston Manor in the Catskills, Hornell and Alfred in the Southern Tier, Lake George, Malone, and Ellenburg Center in the Adirondacks, Gouverneur and Lowville in the North Country, Olean, Ellicottville, and Arcade in Western New York, Fabius, Morrisville, and Cooperstown in Central New York

October 14th to October 19th

The remainder of the North Country, including Alexandria Bay and Watertown. The remainder of the Adirondacks, including Plattsburgh and Keesville. The remainder of the Southern Tier, including Binghamton and Corning. Homer, Sylvan Beach, and Clinton in CNY, Saratoga Springs in the Capital Region, Woodstock and Phoenecia in the Catskills, Rhinebeck in the Hudson Valley, East Aurora and Jamestown in Western N.Y.

October 20th to October 24th

Most of the Finger Lakes, including Geneva, Watkins Glen, and Naples, Niagara Falls, East Aurora, and Letchworth State Park in Western N.Y., Most of CNY, including Syracuse, Auburn, Ithaca, and Utica, Most of the Hudson Valley, including Kingston and New Paltz, The remainder of the Catskills, including Saugerties, Albany, Schenectady, and Troy in the Capital Region

October 25th to October 31st

Buffalo, Chautauqua, and Rochester in Western N.Y., Fair Haven, Oswego, and Aurora in CNY, Hudson in the Hudson Valley
