
New York Bill Would Suspend Rent Payments For Unemployed
As the state tries to support workers and business who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, a rent relief bill is in the works.
A WIVB report says a bill has been introduced to the New York Senate that would provide suspend rent payments for 90 days those who have lost their jobs or for businesses who were forced to close during the coronavirus pandemic. The bill also calls for mortgage relief from landlords who would be affected by the suspended rent payments.
