The Summit Restaurant on Route 11 went up in flames overnight June 25-26.

Once the Township water tower refilled, residents were still being told to boil their water until further notice.

A water main break happened hours after the water tower was filling, dropping water pressure again.

Meanwhile, on the Township facebook page, officials said they "will be working with the fire company to develop a safer plan for water."

The Summit started in the 1940s as a filling station and evolved into a popular wayside then fine dining and catering hall, hosting numerous proms, weddings and other celebrations over the decades.

There’s been no word on what the owners plan to do with the property.
