The CMT drama Nashville returns to cable TV June 1 to air the second half of Season 5, which will consist of 11 episodes. The content of those episodes is being teased in a new trailer, shown above.

One of the highest-rated and most-watched CMT series in history, the network picked up Nashville after it was axed by its original network, ABC, after Season 4. Due to popular demand, the show was picked up and moved to a new network for a new season; it was also announced in early April that CMT will be hosting Season 6, as well.

The Nashville cast had some shocking changes since CMT's acquisition including (spoiler alert!) the death of beloved and main character Rayna Jaymes, played by Connie Britton. However, mainstays such as Juliette Barnes; played by Hayden Panettiere, and Deacon Claybourne; played by Charles Esten and the rest of the cast have stayed intact.

Over its tenure, Nashville has proven not only to be a hit in the United States, but an international darling as well, airing on six continents and in more than 100 territories. Select stars from the hit TV series are even hosting their second international tour in June 2017, performing in England, Scotland and Ireland. Among the Nashville cast members making the trip are Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Chris Carmack and Jonathan Jackson, with Sam Palladio joining in on select dates. The tour launches June 9 in Birmingham, England, and features songs from the series as well as the artists’ original material. A similar Nashville cast staged a sold-out tour in the United Kingdom and Ireland in 2016.

The remaining half of Nashville's Season 5 will premiere on CMT on Thursday, June 1 at 9PM ET.
