Last night the Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network hosted their 4th annual Fashion Gala at the Doubletree in Binghamton and I was in the show.

Being a veteran broadcaster has given me many opportunities to spread the word about the wonderful work being done in our community.

The Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network is a great organization whose mission statement is to improve pregnancy and birth outcomes and to support the health and development of all individuals and families.

The Gala featured many area vendors and a runway fashion show with local celebrities and members of the community modeling clothes from local businesses.

I was modeling clothes from Southern Tier Harley Davidson (No leather chaps) I had two different outfits to showcase in front of a packed room.

The Emcee called my name and it was time for my 60 seconds of fame.

The crowd cheered and applauded as I walked down the middle of the room on the gala runway.

Now those of you who know me would probably agree I make no fashion statement, but this was all about having fun and raising money to help an organization that does so much for local families in our neighborhoods.

Leading up to this year the three previous Gala events have raised over $50,000 to help Mothers and Babies provide programs and services for families in greater Binghamton.

I would like to thank everyone who attended, along with the volunteers, Sal and his staff at the Doubletree, and the Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network for the incredible help they provide every day.
