While everyone in Atlantic coastal cities and towns are holding their breath and preparing for a category 3 or category 4 from Hurricane Matthew that has already created havoc in the Caribbean,  the men and women of the military are also making preparations of their own.

While the media focus has been on getting people to evacuate from the path of the hurricane, and rightfully so, members of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, specifically the Florida Wing, Civil Air Patrol have had a plan in place since last weekend to relocate to the Panhandle and they accomplished this a few days ago.
Many people don't realize or think about how a hurricane or storm can impact the military. Not just Florida, but the entire coast of where the military is stationed.  Rest assured, the military is ready and prepared to help civilians if necessary.
High winds and torrential rains are expected from Florida through the Carolina's over the next few days.  Our thoughts and prayers are with our listeners and readers down south.
