A man and a woman face felony charges after police found methamphetamine during a search of a room at a Vestal motel.

Authorities say 42-year-old Michael Fairbairn and 43-year-old Crystal Smith were arrested.

Officials say drug investigators and Vestal police executed a search warrant Thursday at the Parkway Motel at 900 Vestal Parkway East.

About 12 grams of crystal meth, $147 in suspected drug proceeds and drug packaging materials were confiscated.

Both Fairbairn and Smith were charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Police say there were two active arrest warrants for Fairbairn. He had been wanted in Deposit for criminal mischief.

Fairbairn and Smith were being held at Broome County Jail following their arraignment.
