Authorities say the heist at Prince Deli at 55 Robinson Street on the East Side was reported around 8:05 p.m. Monday.

Binghamton police say the suspects wore red-colored "devil" masks, featuring a devil face with horns and an attached cloth head shroud. One of the men fired a realistic-looking BB gun at the store clerks, striking them in the face, head and body.

Both of the men who were working in the business sustained lacerations and BBs embedded in tissue. One wound up with a broken tooth.

The robbers stole cash from the register and some other items. They were last seen running north on Liberty Street.

People with information about the assault and robbery may contact Binghamton police detectives at 607.772.7080.
