This week's co-host on Country Countdown USA (Sunday night 7-10pm on 98.1 The Hawk) is Luke Bryan.  Luke is back in the Top 5 with the sexy "Strip It Down." Lon Helton asked Luke what his wife Caroline thought when she first heard it: "Her first reaction was people are gonna lose their minds. The fans are gonna freak out!"

It was fun for me to have a song like that on the album. When we get to the chorus, when you talk about 'Feel my belt turn lose from these old blue jeans,' it's pretty risqué, but I think the fans love lines like that, and it paints the picture of that moment."

Luke revealed that he wrote the song at his farm south of Nashville: "We were writing upstairs in the guest house. We're living in that guest house on the farm, it's ten of us in a 2-bedroom house, it's been that way for a year. I don't get into predicting when we're going to get into our house. But Caroline was there they day we wrote it. I think I played it for her that day."

Luke provided the update on his two young sons Bo & Tate: "Tate got three stitches." Halfway through the show, Lady A's Charles Kelley dropped in the studio to talk about his new solo project with Lon & Luke: "What Charles has done is he's now more direct competition! He's doing a little solo project." Charles responded, "I'm like a baby artist sucking at the teat of Luke Bryan."

Luke is wrapping up his 2015 Kick The Dust Up Tour. The final shows are in Chicago and Detroit. Luke told Lon he recently played basketball with a member of the Chicago Bulls.  He also asked Luke if he'll hit the road again in 2016.  Find out Sunday night at 7 to find out what he said.

Luke also has great stories this week about Thomas Rhett, Dustin Lynch, Chris Janson, Cole Swindell, and Randy Houser.

Country Countdown USA has plenty of Luke stories this week, Sunday night 7-10pm, followed by Retro Country USA at 10pm on 98.1 The Hawk.  Download the FREE app Radio Pup HERE and take the HAWK along on your smartphone or tablet.
