Lauren Duski brought a dose of poignancy to The Voice Monday night (April 24) with a stirring performance of Lee Ann Womack's interpretation of "Lord, I Hope This Day is Good."

Opening with a soft guitar melody, Duski's voice pairs beautifully with the music and mellow lyrics, fitting her voice to a T. Dressed in a glittering gold dress, the member of Team Blake Shelton offered another stellar performance, making a strong case for country music to embrace her. Duski masterfully embodies the song's soft, yet twang-filled personality, beautifully crooning lyrics like, "Lord, I hope this day is good / I'm feelin' empty and misunderstood / I should be thankful, Lord, I know I should / But Lord I hope this day is good."

Guest mentor and country superstar Shania Twain said the song was "perfect" for Duski, complimenting her "true and honest spirit." "It is a song you could have written," Twain added, praising the singer. "I felt your truth in the song. You don’t try to be something you are not, I appreciated that purity.”

"Lord, I Hope This Day is Good" was originally recorded by Don Williams in 1981, earning the singer his 12th No. 1 hit. Womack later got a hold of the track and her recorded her version in 2000, including it on her chart-topping album, I Hope You Dance.

America will either vote Duski into the Top 11 or send her packing during Tuesday's (April 25) episode of the singing reality show. Fellow country singer Casi Joy was voted off last week after an amazing performance of Chris Stapleton's "Parachute." America did not vote her through to the next round and coach Shelton opted to save TSoul instead, who delivered a soulful rendition of Willie Nelson's "Always on My Mind" this week.
