A 28-year-old man has been convicted of three violent felony counts in connection with two Endicott robberies within the span of 80 minutes.

Ramel Noel of Endicott was found guilty of two robbery charges and one attempted robbery charge by a Broome County jury.

Noel had been arrested along with 21-year-old Ali Chandler of Arthur Avenue in November 2017, more than two months after the robberies.

The first late-night incident occurred on September 14, 2017. In that case, a person was robbed in the parking lot of George Industries on South Page Avenue.

Just over an hour later, a taxi driver was robbed of cash and property in the 300 block of Arthur Avenue.

Police said both of the people who were robbed sustained injuries.

Noel is scheduled to be sentenced on May 14. He faces a minimum of 6-and-a-half years to a maximum of 20 years in prison.
