Josh Abbott Band Sings George Strait

A listener asked me this week why George Strait is called the King of Country Music?  The simplest answer is Mr. Strait has sold more than 100 million albums (100 million is a lot!) and has had 61 number one songs.  That's more number ones than any artist in any genre of music.

Twenty years later, George has more hits coming your way.  November 18, King George is releasing his second box set, 'Strait Out of the Box Part 2,' his follow up to his huge 1995 best seller, 'Strait Out of the Box' which contained as many number ones as he could fit on the set.  The new box set will be available exclusively through Wal Mart.

George's fellow Texans, the Josh Abbott Band are paying tribute to their musical hero and the anticipation of his second big box set by doing an amazing all-acoustic version of the George Strait hit 'Give It Away.'  The group puts it's own spin on this great song.
