Memorial Day Weekend has officially kicked off the summer season. It is now full steam ahead to warm weather and country music. The Taste of Country Music Festival is just weeks away and some newcomers are taking the stage. Here's my weekly playlist.

Jimmie Allen will take the stage on Friday of the TOC Music Festival. Not a lot of country singers come out of the state of Delaware, but Allen is the exception. Allen was once homeless after moving to Nashville to chase his dream. He wound up living in his car and splitting McChicken's over two days since he had no money. His new single "Best Shot" clearly displays the hope Jimmie kept alive while living out of his car.

Sunday night at the Taste of Country Music Festival Danielle Bradbery will bring her brand of country music to the stage. Bradbery is a season 4 winner of NBC's The Voice and has definitely carved out a unique niche in country music. "Sway" has a very old school, doo-wop-ee vibe to it and is a song you can, sorry, sway to.

Eric Church is the Bruce Springsteen of country music. His lyrics tell more than just a story, they place you in a certain time in a certain place. I honestly have never heard a bad song by the guy, and his single "Three Year Old" is another great song by Church. He'll be hitting the stage at Taste of Country Music Festival on Saturday of the festival.
