And, we're back! Our annual Food-A-Bago Food Drive for Broome County CHOW is about to begin with 99.1 The Whale, 98.1 The Hawk, 1290 AM/92.1 & 93.9 FM WNBF, and Kiss 104.

If memory serves me correctly, this will be the 25th year of Food-A-Bago. Every year, our communities come together to support families in need in our area through non-perishable food and/or monetary donations.

The scene is the same: We will be located in an Oliver's of Norwich Winnebago camper in the parking lot of the Weis Market at 1290 Upper Front Street, Binghamton, from Monday, November 3rd, through Monday morning, November 10th.

Next to the camper will be a rather large truck from Broome County CHOW with plenty of space to fill with non-perishable food. Of course, monetary donations are accepted as well if that works better for those who don't have much time to shop for food.

We are looking for any donation, no matter how small or large. Every item counts. Example: Every dollar donated is equal to five meals that Broome County CHOW can put together. That dollar goes a long way!

Stop by during the week (and weekend), spend time with our Townsquare staff and personalities, and help families in our community. This year's demand for help may be larger than we've seen in a long time.

At the camper, we will have an on-site QR code available for secure online donations. If donating by check, make it payable to Music for the Mission. They, in turn, put the donations together and present them to Broome County CHOW.

Additional Donation Locations:

After hours, we will have CHOW barrels out in front of the camper for food drop off, or you can stop by our satellite drop off points - 21st Century Pools and Spas on the Vestal Parkway, Vestal, and Superior Plus Propane on Vestal Road, Vestal, during their business hours.

If you need suggestions for the types of food needed, stop by, and we will show you a list of items. As always, we really appreciate the generosity of our listeners at this time of year to help those who may be having a difficult time putting food on the table for their family.

Thanks to our partners this year for their help - Music For The Mission and NYSEG. We'll see you at Food-A-Bago...and thanks in advance!
