The 10 Things Kids Need To Know Before Kindergarten

There's a post floating around social media listing the ten things kids should know before starting Kindergarten.

The list was written by a Kindergarten teacher, and you shouldn't be surprised to learn that number 1 has to do with lunchtime independence -- before Kindergarten starts, parents should try to teach their kids how to open their lunch containers.

Other things on the list include knowing how to dress themselves, how to recognize their own name, and how to enjoy Kindergarten.

This teacher also recommends parents try to teach their little ones how to follow simple instructions, look after their own things, how to get a good night's sleep, how to read a book, how to be away from their parents for long periods of time, and of course -- how to use the bathroom.
