Hancock School Buses Now Have Bus Cameras
The Hancock Central School District takes action against drivers who pass stopped school buses with their lights flashing. District officials announced they have installed stop-arm cameras on all buses which activate when the arm is extended and lights are flashing. The cameras capture images of drivers not stopping and they are then given to law enforcement for review. State law calls for a $250 fine for the first violation and higher fines plus jail time for repeat offenders.
