Eric Paslay is coming to Binghamton July 10th! Before he get’s here, let's find out a little bit more about him.

    He is originally from Abilene, Texas and was raised in Waco and Temple.

    Paslay has always loved music, but he originally wanted to become a pediatric endocrinologist because he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child.

    Eric started playing guitar and writing songs at 15. By the time he was 16, he’d already made a 10 song CD on his home computer.

    His musical influences include Rodney Crowell and Johnny Cash.

    His granddad was a musician. He and his brothers had a band called Arnold Schiller and the Moonlight Serenaders.

    Paslay moved to Nashville, Tennessee and attended Middle Tennessee State University where he majored in business music.

    He became president of the Universities student chapter of Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), where he recruited top Music Row writers to speak at the university.

    He realized music was a passion of his and volunteered to do anything to get his foot in the door on Nashville’s famed Music Row. This included changing light bulbs and helping out at a charity events.

    Paslay has opened for many big-time country acts including: Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Eli Young Band, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley and Clint Black.

    He had an internship at publishing company Cal IV Entertainment where he eventually landed his own deal with Cal IV in 2006!

    His songwriting and his impressive voice began getting attention from labels and he signed with EMI Records Nashville in 2011.

    Jake Owen’s Barefoot Blue Jean Night, The Eli Young Band’s Even If It Breaks Your Heart, Love and Theft’s No. 1 hit Angel Eyes, and Rascal Flatt’s single Rewind, are just a few songs that Paslay helped co-write.
