It's been a Christmas tradition for the past few years and it'll continue this weekend. New Life Ministries presents their sixth original Christmas musical called "The Christmas Journey."

It's the story of Mary and Joeseph before their journey to Bethlehem, before the birth of the child that will change the world and how through it all they remained faithful to God's plan.

Here's one of the best parts, it's all set to the music of my second favorite rock band of all time. It's a Christmas Journey set to the music of Journey.

The shows are completely free and it'll give everyone the chance to donate to Mom's House. Mom's House is a local charity that supports low-income, single parents trying to get a degree. They offer licensed childcare and other needed services.

Last year, the Christmas show made almost $14,000 in donations and this year, they hope to break $15,000. You can help and enjoy a great musical at the same time.

The Christmas Journey is Thursday through Saturday, December 12th - 14th at New Life Ministries, 201 Hill Avenue in Endicott. The show starts at 6 p.m. and refreshments available at their cafe and shirts will be for sale to benefit Mom's House.

It's a show about "the love story that preceded the greatest story ever told" to the music of Journey. By the way, if you're wondering, Styx is my all-time favorite rock group.

I hope to see you there.
