Flu season is back, and people everywhere are trying to stay healthy. Some are loading up on vitamins and flu shots, while others are just hoping they don’t catch anything. A new survey by Weiss and Paarz looked at how much people in each state care about their health and New York came out near the top.
The Top 5 Health Focused States
The survey found that people in Louisiana worry the most about their health. They pay close attention to things like how much they drink, how active they are, their sleep, and their mental health. After Louisiana, the next most health concerned states were New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, and Texas.

New Yorkers Are Paying Attention
New York ranked second, with a score of 79.3 out of 100. The biggest health worry for New Yorkers is vaping. About 40% of people said they’re very concerned about it. So yes, New Yorkers are thinking about their health especially when it comes to habits that might affect their lungs.
Other States Have Their Own Worries
In New Jersey, people care most about eating good food and staying up to date on vaccines. In Hawaii, the main concern is keeping a healthy weight. In Texas, people are focused on not getting sick and getting enough sleep.
