Strawberry Fields at the Owego VFW
Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary to Post 1371, 207 Main Street Owego, are sponsoring, at the post, a Craft/Vendor Fair during the Strawberry Festival on June 15 from 9am to 4pm. This will include a huge variety of shopping and food all located inside so you can take a break from the outside elements of the day. Both the Front Porch and side doors will be open for this event.
Proceeds will benefit some of the many programs that the Auxiliary supports.
These programs include the VFW National Home for Children where the families left behind by war can remain together, and The Cancer Program that provides grants to Auxiliary members afflicted by this dreaded disease.
Also included are the USO, Wounded Warriors, Paralyzed and Homeless Veterans, Scholarships, Americanism, Legislation and Hospital/ Nursing Home Support. Veterans of Foreign Wars Comrades will be having items for sale to benefit their Building Fund.
Eligible men and women are invited to join the Auxiliary to assist in helping as we strive to serve our Veterans of today and yesterday. Information on how you can sign up with this great organization will be available.
