New York State Police say on October 5 the woman passed the note to the waitress on Hooper Road saying she had been involved in a domestic dispute and needed assistance.  The server notified authorities and the victim told troopers she had been in a vehicle with 28-year-old Newell Dickson when they got into an argument and he allegedly choked her and prevented her from calling 911.

Dickson turned himself in to Troopers a few days later and was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Troopers say they also ended up arresting the victim for possession what was suspected to be methamphetamine.
