Despite Dierks Bentley’s claims that he tries to stay away from phones and technology as much as possible, the country star finds time to text with Chase Rice.

And yes, we would love to be a part of this group text.

During a recent interview with Taste of Country Nights, Rice actually read a series of texts to host Sam Alex that he had recently exchanged with Bentley about the 2015 song “The Driver,” which Bentley performed alongside Charles Kelley and Eric Paslay.

“I was like ‘Dude, this is a jam,’” Rice recalled. “’Agreed,’ he wrote back. ‘Charles Kelley is a great singer. Haven’t looked at the charts in a while. Congrats on the Top 10, dude, for ‘Eyes on You,’' and I said, ‘Thanks buddy, this one is changing my life,’ and he said ‘Love hearing that.’”

Rice had actually been listening to “The Driver” with his actual bus driver recently as they trekked across the country to yet another tour stop on the Eyes on You Tour. The tour is set to run throughout a good portion of the summer. In summers past, Rice has toured alongside country music heavyweights including Luke Bryan and Kenny Chesney.

Rice is worthy of all of the praise he is getting for “Eyes on You.” The single is currently sitting in the Top 10 of the country charts and is now the most streamed song of Rice's career. The song is also enjoying its sixth week on the Billboard all-genre Hot 100 chart.
