I think that it's fantastic that fairs, festivals and live music is back for the summer of 2021. Sometimes we don't realize what we have until it's taken from us, so let's take advantage of it while we can.

If your looking for something to do this Saturday, July 31st, you are invited to the 14th annual Blueberry Festival in Coventry. It'll be behind the Coventry Town Hall and the proceeds benefit the Coventry Events Committee.

The committee was originally formed to raise money for a state of the art playground and it grew into an organization to bring the residents of Coventry together. The Events Committee has been hosting chicken BBQs and free entry events in the Coventry area for over 10 years and they have no plans to stop now.

The Blueberry Festival begins at 10 a.m. and the day will end with a free movie in the park at dusk. Bring your chair and get ready to enjoy the movie outside with free popcorn

I'll admit that I haven't been there before but I will be attending this year. I love blueberries and anything associated with that tasty fruit. Here is your chance to enjoy fresh-picked blueberries and blueberry pie, you can even show off your cooking skills during the Blueberry Baking contest.

I'm also looking forward to some of Kevin's Chicken BBQ for lunch, it's worth the trip just for that. The weather looks good and it should be a wonderful day to get together for blueberry's, a free movie at dusk, and much more.
