Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say a Plymouth man is accused of firing a rifle in the direction of two people during a gathering March 9 on County Road 19 the Town.

27-year-old Zachary Ketchum is charged with two felony counts of reckless endangerment as well as felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor menacing.  There were no injuries.

Deputies responded to the location at around 10:13 a.m. and were told Ketchum had shot a rifle in the direction of people.

A search of Ketchum’s home turned up three firearms along with suspected methamphetamine.

Authorities say additional charges are pending. An order of protection was issued for the alleged victims.

Ketchum was released and ordered to appear in Town of Plymouth Court at a later date.
