If you have a package of Butterball Ground Turkey in your freezer from last year, make sure you check it to see if it's part of this recall.

According to CNN, Butterball is recalling products that were packaged 9 months ago due to the potential that they might be contaminated with Salmonella Schwarzengrund.

Being that the packages were shipped out nine months ago, it is very unlikely the products are still in retail stores. But, if you purchased these products last year and stored them in your freezer, you may have one of the following recalled products.

According to the Butterball website, the products impacted will have both the use or sell by date of July 26th, 2018. The bar codes are as follows:

The product tested positive for the presence of Salmonella Schwarzengrund resulting in four illnesses in Wisconsin and one illness in Minnesota.
