Broome Reports Weekly COVID Numbers & Vaccination Schedule
Broome County is reporting 26 new COVID 19 cases for the week from July 12 to 19 but no additional deaths while New York State’s positivity rate is reported above one percent again.
Broome County's total number of cases to-date stands at 18,205.
Much of the increase in the state-wide positivity rate is driven by the spread of the more contagious Delta variant mainly downstate.
Broome County is hosting a number of vaccination clinics this week for people who still have not gotten protection from COVID-19. The first dose of the Moderna vaccine will be given at the Health Department on Front Street Thursday, July 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. while the single dose Johnson and Johnson will be available, also Thursday, at Love’s Travel Stop truck stop in Kirkwood from noon to 3 p.m. The J&J vaccine will also be given at Ross Park Zoo Saturday, July 24 from noon to 3 p.m.
