The Broome Opioid Awareness Council would like to remind the Southern Tier community about virtual Narcan trainings that are being offered throughout the county. The Addiction Center of Broome County, Helio Health, Southern Tier AIDS Program, and Truth Pharm are all offering virtual trainings for any member of the community who would like to receive training.

If you are interested in receiving virtual Narcan training, you can reach out to any of the listed organizations and you will be put in touch with a staff member who will train you on the spot and then determine the best way to get a Narcan kit to you.

Also, support groups like Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous are being offered virtually. If you have questions about how to get set up with one of these organizations, you should call 211. If you are on the scene of an overdose, you should always call 911.
