Help Bring the Magic of Christmas to Binghamton’s Seniors
Celebrating two decades of spreading joy, Home Instead is proud to continue its Be a Santa to a Senior program in the Binghamton community.
This extraordinary gift-giving initiative holds a special place in the hearts of older adults who may often feel unnoticed or isolated during the holiday season.
Since its inception in 2003, Be a Santa to a Senior has been powered by the compassion of over 65,000 dedicated volunteers and more than 2.2 million gifts have been delivered, touching the lives of approximately 800,000 elderly residents.
This year, the program coordinators in Binghamton have set their sights on a goal of collecting over 600 gifts for the older adults of Broome County. To ensure everyone in the community can participate, a beautiful Be a Santa to a Senior tree will be adorned with ornaments at Boscov’s Department Store, located at 11 Court Street in Binghamton.
Each ornament on the tree will show the name and gift request of an older adult, waiting to be fulfilled by kind-hearted community members. If you're interested in participating, it's as simple as choosing an ornament that resonates with your spirit of giving, purchasing the requested gift, and returning it either unwrapped or elegantly presented in a gift bag with the ornament still attached. Between now and December 12, the collected gifts will be delivered, allowing our local older adults to embrace the warmth and joy of the holiday season.
