The carousel in Binghamton’s Rec Park is usually closed during the winter, but as a special holiday treat, it will open for a few hours on select Saturdays in December.

The City of Binghamton Parks and Recreation has announced holiday carousel rides will be offered on Saturday, December 7, Saturday, December 14, and on Saturday, December 21. The carousel will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on all three of these nights. There will be hot cocoa and baked goods available for purchase, buggy rides, carolers, a Lionel train display and even a special visit from Santa Claus himself!

Admission to the Holiday Carousel Rides are completely free. Carriage rides are also free and will be offered on a first come first served basis and the line will be cut off early to make sure that the last ride ends on time. If you would like to bring a toy to be donated to the needy, the City of Binghamton Parks and Recreation will also be accepting toys on all three Saturday nights.
