You may recall the post where Rich Birdsall interviewed Ben Whisler.  We had a great response to the interview with members of the Binghamton group, including Shawn Hawkins.  They represent the best in that edgy country rock sound that is so hot in Nashville and now they bring that sound home for a few shows this weekend.

Following a few successful shows in the area this past spring, Whisler is scheduled for four performances this week including Hartwick Field Days and the Rec Park Music Festival.

Harpursville native and former member of local act Honeystruck, Shawn Hawkins, now plays lead guitar and back up vocals for Whisler after meeting up and becoming friends at Belmont University.

Whisler is promoting his debut single “Where the Moon Shines” which was aired on the Hawk in May as well as stations in the south.

Be sure to catch a show.  When you do, expect an exciting performance by this upcoming artist.  Check Ben Whisler out on Facebook, and “Where the Moon Shines” is available on iTunes, Amazon, and more!

Here's where you can catch them this weekend:

Friday August 9 - Nathaniels Pub - 9-midnight

Saturday August 10 - Hartwick Field Days - 7-11pm

Sunday August 11 - Recreation Park, Binghamton - 4pm
