Attention all Southern Tier residents! Now is the time to get behind our very own Emily MacKay as she takes on the WORLD at the Olympic Games in Paris.  

MacKay is a Union Endicott graduate and Binghamton University class of '21 and we are so incredibly proud of her as she represents the Southern Tier.  

Binghamton University is very proud of MacKay’s accomplishments and so they’re throwing a watch party to cheer on MacKay as she competes in the women's 1,500 semifinals. 

Be a part of the excitement and come to the MarketPlace in the University Union on the Binghamton University campus, starting at 1:15 p.m. this Thursday, Aug. 8th. Whether you're a die-hard MacKay fan or just someone who wants to see history in the making, this watch party is the place to be and the best part is it's free and open to everyone!   

After her electrifying performance in the opening round, Emily MacKay blazed to a sixth-place finish with a lightning-fast time of 3:59.63. She's bringing the heat and proving she's a force to be reckoned with on the track. The top six finishers in her heat got a spot in the semifinals, so get ready to see more of this Broome County native's incredible talent in action. 

Mark the calendar in your phone for 1:35 p.m. on Thursday, August 8th, and get ready to witness history. NBC and Peacock will be broadcasting the semifinal round live, so soak in every moment as Emily MacKay continues to chase her Olympic dream.
