If you haven't been to a Binghamton Rumble Ponies game yet this year, you've been missing out...and you may be one of the few. I enjoy going to Mirabito Stadium and it seems like that there has been more people in attendance this year. It turns out, it wasn't a figment of my imagination.

The Rumble Ponies have announced that there has been a 52% increase in attendance at home games so far this season. Nearly 80,000 fans have attended their games so far and it'll blow past that by the time the July 4th weekend is over.

I've been asked why I think that attendance is up. Here are a few of my observations:  1) The pitch clock has sped up games and now it takes less than three hours to play. 2) The Rumble Ponies are doing more fan interaction games between innings. 3) My daughter, Tara is working as part of the Carousel Crew (on-field promotions team) for the second year. #3 is my personal favorite reason to go to the ballpark. Go Girl!
